Character Creator

Build a pixel Character for your profile, export it as an image, or continue with its layers and directions in the editor.

Start a Character

Open the Character Creator without an account. Your in-progress Character is kept as a draft in this browser, so you can sign in later without starting over.

Signed-in accounts can also open the creator from Profile to edit a saved Character.

Customize a Character

Choose a body, skin, face, eyes, hair, facial hair, face details, top, bottom, shoes, accessories, and background. Rotate the full-body preview through front, right, back, and left views while you work.

  • Use the category color controls to recolor supported parts.
  • Individual clothing and accessory items remember their own palettes.
  • Randomize creates a complete combination without restricting later manual choices.
  • Gender influences Randomize only; every manual part remains available.

Save or export

Anyone can export the selected full-body view or profile crop as a crisp PNG. Saving a Character to your 8bit.page profile requires an account.

If you begin as a guest, choose Sign in to save. The local draft is retained while you complete sign-in and return.

Open in the editor

Choose Open in editor to create a normal 64 × 64 fixed Project. Character parts become separate layers, and front, right, back, and left become frames in a looping tag.

Character and profile photo

A Character and a custom profile photo are separate. You can keep both: 8bit.page uses the Character on its main identity surfaces and can show the profile photo as a smaller overlay. Removing one does not remove the other.

See accounts, profiles, and appearance for the rest of the account workflow.
