Where does my Project live?
Projects autosave in this browser on this device. Optional Cloud sync is enabled for each Project. A downloaded .8bit file gives you a portable editable copy.
What happens when I export?
Export downloads a rendered file such as an image, animation, sprite sheet, or video. It does not make a public page or replace an editable Project backup.
What happens when I publish?
Publish uploads rendered Artwork and creates a page for it. The editable Project is separate. Include editable Project optionally shares a copy, including hidden layers and all frames; it does not enable Cloud sync or keep version history. Private-link pages are unlisted, not password protected.
