About 8bit.page

Every pixel deserves a page.

8bit.page is a browser-based pixel art workspace for drawing, animation, export, publishing, and sharing. It opens straight into the editor, so you can start making something without installing software or creating an account.

A proper pixel workshop

Draw with precise tools, build with layers and palettes, make frame-by-frame animation, preview motion with onion skinning, and work with the keyboard, pointer, clipboard, or drag and drop. The editor is designed to support a quick icon, an animated character, a game sprite, or a tiny world without getting between you and the canvas.

Local first

Editable Projects autosave in this browser on your device. You can also save an editable .8bit file and reopen it later. Export renders files such as PNG, GIF, sprite sheets, WebM, or MP4 for you to save locally.

Local Projects are not silently uploaded or treated as cloud backups. Publishing is always a separate choice.

Artwork pages

When you are ready to share, Publish sends a rendered Artwork—not the editable Project—and gives it a focused 8bit.page Artwork page. You can choose a public or private-link page, add a description, control comments and downloads, and share the result.

Made for creators

Your art stays yours. You retain ownership of everything you create and publish, and 8bit.page does not use your Artwork to train AI models. The permissions described in our Terms are limited to providing the service.
